Women Equal to Men?

If any do deeds of righteousness, be they male or female,
and have faith, they will enter Paradise
and not the least injustice will be done to them. [Quran 4:124]

In the above verse, it is clear that ALLAH treatment and judgement is equal to both men and women. Actually comparing men and women is wrong. they are two distinct beings physically, psychologically and spiritually. That is the reason why women tend to have more patience, more loving and caring than men. Quran expects team work from man and woman but does not compare them and their capabilities. For example if a person is appointed as the captain of the cricket team, that does not mean that he is the BEST player. It only means that he is the best person who can adjust to captainship responsibilities without harming his game much. This is exactly the same case with man and woman. ALLAH never compared man and woman. Quran clearly gives separate responsibilities to each of them. No where does the Quran compare or equate or discriminate man from woman. It is all western culture that tries to 'uplift' women by comparing them to men thus making them wear dirty dressing and involving them in dirty habits. Women feel oppressed because they always keep comparing themselves with men. This itself indicates that they themselves feel they are inferior to men.

Instead of saying western culture, I must say it is the human tendency to compare men and women. Women should stop comparing themselves to men and concentrate on their own duties and responsibilties as stated in the Quran and inshaALLAH they will command their own recognition and respect. Like that of Hazrath Ayesha (RA), Hazrath Fatima (RA) and Bibi Rabia Basri (may ALLAH bless her). These were great women whom muslim men respect like their own mothers and take them as examples and inspiration. Men are superior to women in some fields and women are superior to men in some fields. so it is useless to compare them. moreover, such a comparision will lead to unnecessary havoc. Its all about doing our respective responsibilities as ordered in Quran properly. ALLAH does not discriminate women and men. His judgment and treatment is same for both of them but he has given separate responsibilities to men and women because they are two separate beings.

Importance of Patience

O you who believe, be steadfast; be supreme in steadfastness... (Surah Al 'Imran, 200) Allah has revealed in a verse, "This is a Book We have sent down to you so that you can bring mankind from the darkness to the light, by the permission of their Lord, to the Path of the Almighty, the Praiseworthy" (Surah Ibrahim, 1) , thus drawing attention to the Qur'an's attribute of bringing people from darkness to light. The Qur'an defines patience as one of the paths that lead people from darkness to light and as an attribute of morality that is superior to, wide-ranging, and very different from the daily behavior of many people. True patience is a moral characteristic displayed in the face of difficulty and in every moment of life. Moreover, it requires the demonstration of determination and consistency during times of ease and hardship, and is a lifelong endeavor that never goes astray, even for a moment. Allah gives the most striking examples of patience in the lives
