Wake up O Muslims

By Muhammad Kamran Rifat

'And towards them the prophecy of Isaiah is having fulfilment, which says, "By hearing you will hear but by no means get the sense of it, and looking, you will look but by no means see. For the heart of the people, has grown thick, and with their ears they have heard with annoyance, they might never see with their eyes and hear with their ears and get the sense of it with their hearts....' (MT; 13:14-15)
Similarly, the Holy Qur'aan cites: 'For the worst of the beasts in the sight of Allah are the deaf and the dumb, - those who understand not.' (8:22)

Such is the case with Muslims these days, they have become dumb and deaf and to some extent blind too. We are fortunate to be bore as Muslims and should thank Allah for His bounties. The hardships our ancestors faced before and after they converted to Islam are not faced by us and that's the reason we are taking it for granted.
People here use religion for their own good and benefit and manipulate people at the expense of their poor knowledge of the religion. It's our utmost responsibility to acquire the knowledge of our religion what it really is? Our Holy Book Qur'aan and Sunnah. But here we think it's only the responsibility of the clerics to acquire the knowledge. Allah clearly tells us that the Holy Qur'aan is guidance for everyone and It has indication, which should be comprehended and searched by all. The answers to the questions are there in the Holy Qur'aan. What is needed is time and devotion.
We all have a purpose to be in this world and it's only to remember and praise Allah and Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sall Allaho alaihe wasallam) and to spread and preach Islam also. And for preaching it, it is necessary that one should have good knowledge and be a keen follower. We all hear that action speaks louder than a word, so is the case with Muslims. Their attitude and actions should be such that people admire and try to follow it. The character, speech, walk and everything should be in conformity with the teachings of Islam. At least one should try.

Islam is the religion, which teaches love, peace and kindness and which have highest regard for the mankind. Unfortunately, many people think that Islam provokes extremism. But it isn't true. In fact, Islam hates all sort of extremisms that leads to oppression. Islam tells its followers to remain moderate and do not become immoderate and that Allah loves modesty and hates immodesty. Indeed, it is our divine liability to spread the good morals and teachings of Islam and make people love the religion and not go against it.

We have to present before people the true face and teachings of Islam in a good and eloquent manner and make them understand the Divine Guidance, keeping away from extremism and staying humble. The people should understand that Islam cares for the mankind, hates oppression and loves peace.

Wake up Muslims and believers and come forward to spread Islam as the religion of peace and as a guideline of life. This is my humble effort in this regard, where is yours?

Importance of Patience

O you who believe, be steadfast; be supreme in steadfastness... (Surah Al 'Imran, 200) Allah has revealed in a verse, "This is a Book We have sent down to you so that you can bring mankind from the darkness to the light, by the permission of their Lord, to the Path of the Almighty, the Praiseworthy" (Surah Ibrahim, 1) , thus drawing attention to the Qur'an's attribute of bringing people from darkness to light. The Qur'an defines patience as one of the paths that lead people from darkness to light and as an attribute of morality that is superior to, wide-ranging, and very different from the daily behavior of many people. True patience is a moral characteristic displayed in the face of difficulty and in every moment of life. Moreover, it requires the demonstration of determination and consistency during times of ease and hardship, and is a lifelong endeavor that never goes astray, even for a moment. Allah gives the most striking examples of patience in the lives
